Moved by: Regional and Local Councillor DiPaola

  • Whereas, Richmond Hill was chosen as the first location in Canada to have an electric vehicle charging station with a digital billboard;

    Whereas, the City of Richmond Hill owns several locations across the city suitable for additional electric vehicle charging stations;

    Whereas, the placement of these charging stations on city property presents an opportunity for revenue generation and a chance to promote city initiatives;

    Whereas, Jolt charging locations offer a unique combination of electric vehicle charging and digital billboards;

    Now Therefore Be It Resolved:

    That the appropriate City of Richmond Hill staff report back to the October 16th Committee of the Whole with a strategy on how Richmond Hill can enter into an agreement with Jolt to install electric vehicle charging billboards on city property at multiple locations.
