There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest by members of Council under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.

Grant Taylor, Director of Public Works Operations, provided introductory remarks and thanked Communications, Operations and By-law and Licensing Enforcement staff involved in the Windrow-Clearing Program’s preparation.  G. Taylor provided an overview of Council’s direction regarding the Program, described the timing and service levels, identified obstacles that could interfere with the windrow operation, and outlined the restrictions to on-street parking during a snow event.  G. Taylor also updated Council on the status of the snow removal equipment, planned storage area, recruitment and training of new operations staff.

Meeta Gandhi, Director, Strategy, Innovation and Engagement, outlined the communication activities planned regarding the Windrow Clearing Program, including website enhancements, social media posts, a media relations event, and the use of mock parking tickets as an educational tool. M. Gandhi highlighted the role of Access Richmond Hill as the primary contact for all inquiries and advised that on-going monitoring of the Windrow Clearing Program was planned.
