PUBLIC NOTICE
 
Due to efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect all individuals, City facilities will not be open to the public to attend Council and Committee meetings until further notice. The public can observe meetings of Council and Committees by viewing the livestream of the open session part of these meetings which can be accessed on the City’s website (Richmondhill.ca) or on the City’s YouTube page (linked from the City’s homepage).
 
Public Comments: The public may submit comments regarding agenda matters via email to [email protected]. Comments submitted will be provided to all Members of Council, considered as public information and noted in the public record.

Resolution to Move into Closed Session and General Nature Thereof:
 

  • That Council move into Closed Session:

    a) To consider personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees with respect to applicant interviews for the appointment of an Integrity Commissioner pursuant to Section 239(2) (b) of the Municipal Act, 2001;

    b) To consider matters relating to the appointment of an Integrity Commissioner pursuant to Section 239(2) (i) and (k) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as follows:

    i) a trade secret or scientific, technical, commercial, financial or labour relations information, supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board, which, if disclosed, could reasonably be expected to prejudice significantly the competitive position or interfere significantly with the contractual or other negotiations of a person, group of persons, or organization;

    ii) a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried out on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board, with respect to the appointment of an Integrity Commissioner.
