PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Accessibility Advisory Committee meetings will be held electronically at this time.  The public can observe meetings of Council and Committees by viewing the livestream of the open session part of these meetings which can be accessed on the City’s website (Richmondhill.ca) or on the City’s YouTube page (linked from the City’s homepage). 

 

Public Comments: The public may submit written correspondence regarding agenda matters by email to [email protected]. Written correspondence must be submitted by 12 p.m. the day before the meeting. Comments submitted will be provided to all Members of Council, considered as public information and noted in the public record.

 

Electronic Delegations: The public may apply to appear as an electronic delegation by video conference or by telephone. Applications to appear as an electronic delegation must be submitted by 12 p.m. the day before the meeting by email to [email protected] or by using the on-line application form found on Richmondhill.ca. The Office of the Clerk will provide instructions on appearing as an electronic delegation.


  • a) That the minutes of the Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting AAC#03-21 held October 7, 2021, be adopted.

  • a) That the correspondence submitted by Councillor Cilevitz, Chair of the AAC, dated February 11, 2022, regarding The Pointer article titled "Brampton City Council and Mayor Patrick Brown Should Not Endanger People with Disabilities, Seniors and Others by Allowing the Silent Menace of Electric Scooters," be received;

    b) That the correspondence submitted by Councillor Cilevitz, Chair of the AAC, dated March 2, 2022, regarding Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Alliance news release titled "Disability Advocates to Tell Ottawa's Transportation Committee Today Not to Allow E- Scooters – A Wrong-headed City Staff Report Endangers Safety and Accessibility for People with Disabilities, Seniors, and Others," be received.

- Presentation by Hubert Ng, Manager, Transportation and Traffic, Josh Ward, Sustainable Transportation Coordinator, and Don Guy, Manager, By-Law Education and Enforcement, regarding Electric Scooters

  • a) That the presentation by Hubert Ng, Manager, Transportation and Traffic, Josh Ward, Sustainable Transportation Coordinator, and Don Guy, Manager, By-Law Education and Enforcement, regarding Electric Scooters be received.

- Verbal update by Brian Inglis, Legislative and Projects Advisor, regarding the CBC News article dated February 6, 2022

  • a) That the correspondence from Councillor Cilevitz, Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee, dated February 6, 2022 regarding CBC News article titled "3 Years After Ontario Accessibility Report, 'Little Progress' Made, Former Lieutenant-Governor Says"', be received; and

    b) That the verbal update from Brian Inglis, Legislative and Projects Advisor, with respect to the correspondence submitted by Councillor Cilevitz, Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee, be received.
