PUBLIC NOTICE


Heritage Richmond Hill Committee meetings will be held electronically at this time. The public can
observe meetings of Council and Committees by viewing the livestream of the open session part of
these meetings which can be accessed on the City’s website (Richmondhill.ca) or on the City’s
YouTube page (linked from the City’s homepage).

 

Written Comments: The public may submit written correspondence regarding agenda matters by
email to [email protected]. Written correspondence must be submitted by 12 p.m. on the day of
the meeting. Comments submitted will be provided to all Members of Council, considered as public
information and noted in the public record.

 

Electronic Delegations: The public may apply to appear as an electronic delegation by
videoconference or by telephone. Applications to appear as an electronic delegation must be
submitted by 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting by email to [email protected] or by using the
on-line application form found on Richmondhill.ca. The Office of the Clerk will provide instructions on
appearing as an electronic delegation.


  • a) That the minutes of Heritage Richmond Hill meeting HRH#05-22 held June 14, 2022, be adopted.

  • a) That the extracts from Council meeting C#27-22 held June 22, 2022, regarding staff reports SRPI.22.067 (Request to Demolish the David Hislop House at 1577-1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East), and SRPI.22.074 (Request for Demolition of the John Love House at 6 Greywacke Street - formerly 630 King Road), be received.

  • a) That the minutes of Special Heritage Richmond Hill meeting HRH#06-22 held July 26, 2022, be adopted.

  • a) That staff report SRPI.22.092 regarding the Review of the Cultural Heritage Value of 6 Greywacke Street (formerly 630 King Road) be received;

    b) That the property located at 6 Greywacke Street (formerly known as 630 King Road) no longer has cultural heritage value or interest;

    c) That a by-law be passed to repeal By-law 95-13, amended by By-law 66-18, which designates 6 Greywacke Street (formerly known as 630 King Road) under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act.

    d) That the Clerk:

    1. Serve a copy of the repealing by-law on the owner of 6 Greywacke Street (formerly known as 630 King Road);
    2. Publish notice of the repealing by-law in a newspaper having general circulation in the municipality;
    3. Cause the repealing by-law to be registered against the property;
    4. Serve a copy of the registered repealing by-law on the Ontario Heritage Trust; and,
    5. Delete any reference to 6 Greywacke Street (formerly 630 King Road) from the municipal heritage register.
  • a) That staff report SRPI.22.104 regarding the Review of the Cultural Heritage Value of 1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East be received;

    b) That the property located at 1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East (also known as 1577-1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East) no longer has cultural heritage value or interest;

    c) That a by-law be passed to repeal By-law 143-97, amended by By-law 68-06, which designates 1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East (also known as 1577-1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East) under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act;

    d) That the Clerk:

    1. Serve a copy of the repealing by-law on the owner of 1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East (also known as 1577-1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East);
    2. Publish notice of the repealing by-law in a newspaper having general circulation in the municipality;
    3. Cause the repealing by-law to be registered against the property;
    4. Serve a copy of the registered repealing by-law on the Ontario Heritage Trust; and,
    5. Delete any reference to 1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East (also known as 1577-1621 Major Mackenzie Drive East) from the municipal heritage register.
  • a) That the Draft Proposal regarding Promoting Heritage Preservation in Richmond Hill dated July 2022, submitted by Doris Dumais, Heritage Richmond Hill Committee Member, be received.

  • a) That the presentation by Dan Kelly, Heritage Richmond Hill Committee Member, regarding a Roadmap to Addressing Demolition by Neglect in Richmond Hill, be received.

  • a) That the verbal update from the Designation Sub-Committee be received.

  • a) That the verbal update by the Promotion and Marketing Sub-Committee be received.
